Race #4 – Granite Bay 2017

ECHS competed at Granite Bay on Sunday and continued its strong season with a third place team finish and retaining an overall second place league standing!  The 6.6 mile course was in rough shape after the heavy rain, with lots of mud, standing water, ruts and exposed roots and rocks.  The course was hard on the bikes  –  two bikes broke down and two dropped chains.

Five members of the team earned medals – 1 first, 1 second, 2 thirds and a fifth and 2 team members continue wearing leader jerseys.  Great effort by the entire team on a demanding course!

JV Girls: Helen Gilbert-Snyder, 2^nd (Podium, Category Leader); Joan Nanono, 10^th

JV Boys: Matt Garrison, 1^st (Podium, Category Leader); Evan Garrison, 5^th (Podium, tied for overall 2nd place); Peter May, 21^st

Sophomore Boys: Josh Harnden, 3^rd (Podium, overall 2nd place); Tal Zvik, 9^th, Max Lambert, 10^th; Pedro Perez, 16^th; Sebastian Alvarez, 17^th

Freshman Girls: Madeline Hill, 3^rd (Podium, overall 3^rd place)

Freshman Boys: Keith Emery,6^th; Aiden Dey-Ward, 14^th; Nitzan Gladstone, 18^th
