Race Report:
Race #5 May 7th, 2016
ECHS competed in the NorCal league finals at Laguna Seca Saturday, the 4.5 mile course had almost 700’ of climbing per lap, most of which was done on the famous Hurl Hill. This is one of the toughest courses in the NorCal league, but every ECHS rider was able to finish (despite one rider having to walk his bike 4 miles up Hurl Hill!) Freshmen and Sophomores did 2 laps, JV girls did 3 laps, and JV boys did 4.
This was the last NorCal race of the season before State Championships, wrapping up the regular 2015-2016 season for ECHS. Congratulations to everyone who raced over the season and we’ll see you at States!

Sophomore Girls: Joan Nanono, 16th/17th overall.
Freshmen Girls: Abigail Cain, 17th overall.
Feshmen Boys: Evan Garrison, 1st/ 3rd overall; Josh Harnden, 8th Overall; Max Lambert, 11th/ 13th overall; Tal Zvik, 18th/ 18th overall; Daniel Huebner, 22nd/ 24th overall; Matt Garrison, 30th (Mechanical)/ tied 1st overall; Sebastian Alvarez, 31st/41st overall; Charlie Borreani, 35th overall; Pedro Perez, 36th overall.
Special NorCal league awards were also given to two of our riders, Jessica Mast (most supportive) and Sebastian Alvarez (most impressive recovery after an injury or obstacle).
