Race Report:
ECHS competed in the California State Championships on Sunday at the Los Olivos Dirt Club in Los Olivos (just north of Santa Barbara and earned 17th as a team! More than 800 riders from across the state participated and the races were very competitive. The 6 mile course was demanding and had a crazy 750’ of climbing per lap and a lot og dust! Freshman and JV girls did 2 laps and Sophomore and JV boys did 3. Congrats to all who raced – you did great!
JV Girls – Jessica Mast, 33rd.
JV Boys – Bruce Tebelan, 60th; Justin Hardnden, 76th.
Sophomore Girls – Joan Nanono, 38th.
Freshman Boys – Matt Garrison, 3rd (podium); Evan Garrison, 6th; Tal Zvik, 42nd; Daniel Huebner, 85th.
